James’s home track of Snetterton is visited for the first time by the British Superbike paddock since the modifications were made to the track to create the new 300 layout.

Easty was not in top form for this meeting, with many in belief that he would be side lined due to a crash at Knockhill the round previous, leaving him with a broken left fibula.

However despite this disbelief, James proved his determination after going against medical advice to Qualify 3rd on the grid on the front row, and battle on in the race to finally finish 4th.

James got a decent start for the first part of the race, battling for 3rd position, but the race was red flagged after a one of many large crashes.

In the restart James did not get such a great start, but was soon pushing through to be battling for 3rd position.
The race was red flagged again and declared a race distance, James finishes in a respectable 4th position.

Easty now sits in 5th in the championship and is within distance of getting a top 3 finish in the championship come the season finale.

James – “ Considering the circumstances I am very pleased with the way Snetterton went, at the start of the weekend I had no Idea whether I would even be able to put weight through my leg on the bike, so to achieve the solid points scoring position I got , through the pain, I am very happy!. I am now looking forward to Oulton Park, where I know I can be on winning pace! “.
