QP2
James finds the set up he wanted and goes fastest again to grab pole by 0.597 on a 1:42:482.
Warm Up
James goes fastest in warm up with a good race set up. The time was a 1:44:251.
Race
James got an average start but was boxed in at turn 1, as everyone accelerated down the avenue the pack bunched up once again going in to Cascades and on the exit Easty narrowly misses a fallen rider. The lap hadn’t finished when James had to miss another fallen rider at lodge corner and across the line this had damaged his position finishing lap 1 in 6th place.
Working his way forward James got in to 3rd position on lap 5 and started his hunt on the 2 leaders in front but on lap 6 the safety car is deployed closing up the field.
Lap 8 and the safety car is in, Easty bolts in to the lead but is caught out by a cold tyre at Shell Oils hairpin and goes down.
A tough lesson but James will re group for Croft and be on the pace once more.
James ‘ I am very disappointed with the way I rode and I have no one to blaim but my self, I was much faster than anyone in qualifying and had the pace to win the race comfortably, but, I’ve learnt my lesson and I will use my pace more wisely in the coming rounds, it’s points and a championship I am trying to achieve after all ‘.
