Changeable weather conditions plagued round 6 of the British Superbike Championship, with dry session throughout the weekend until Sunday race day.
Free Practice went well for James, quickly getting up to pace and proving there was no demons left lurking from the year before when James suffered a broken tibia at Carlube corner. James would end the session in 8th place in group B on a 54.112

Qualifying 1
James improves again up to 6th place in group B on a 53.044 but struggles with rear end grip and alone track time to run fast laps. Changes were made to the bike for the following day and Qualifying2.

Qualifying2
Struggling further to string consistent laps together due to traffic, James manages to nip in a 52.909 to put him in 10th place in the session and 20th on the grid.

Warm Up
After constant rain over night, fierce showers and high winds are to be tackled on race day.
James skated around a flooded track in warm up and returned safely.

Race
The race was postponed from its original start time because of a sudden torrential down pour. With not much warning it was then re scheduled and in no time the race was ready to commence. James didn’t get a good initial launch but made up good positions on the first lap.

Battling through James made his way up to 14th place within the points, but, unfortunately on the penultimate lap the rear end of his Yamaha came around and high sided James off at the first turn.
James – “ Knockhill was a bad result for us, but we will put this behind us and work to make sure we have everything in place to get top positions in the future rounds, some of my favourite tracks are coming up and I will do everything possible to get all the points I can “.
