Broken Tibia Update.....
Now we're into september it has been just over 2 months since the crash at Knockhill which left James with a broken leg on the 4th Of July.....
James is progressing rapidly with good movement in his leg, but is still waiting on the bone to fuse back together, this will then make it possible for James to put full weight through the leg and get on a fast track training program so he can be back on a bike as soon
as physically possible.
EAST RACING are not going to be competing in the British Championships until 2010 now, but are looking to get some testing done before the year is out.

The 2008 season is now a brilliant memory and after some difficult decisions over the winter months, the team has decided to compete in the Metzler National Superstock 600 Championship aboard a brand new Yamaha YZF R6.
Thanks to help from my brilliant sponsors Simon and Karen Sherras, a bike was sourced through Colin Appleyard Racing of Leeds.
As soon as the bike was bought it was whisked away in order for it's transformation from a road bike into a race bike.
The First thing in it's transformation to go was the road bodywork ( Which is still for sale if anyone would like a colour change on their road bike! )
Also many other parts would not be necessary such as the exhaust system which would be replaced by a full Akrapovic racing exhaust system.
The Choice of Rear Suspension was clear, I had always preffered the Ohlins in the 125, and the recomendation from YEC Yamaha was Ohlins to, so a new TTX36 shock was ordered before the bike even arrived and was bolted straight in on the day the bike was delivered. For the front forks the Ohlins 25mm Fork internal cartridges were fitted to assure the best handling available.
The bike is now completed, ready to race.
Take a Look at the Gallery to view pictures of the bike during it's transformation, also pictures of the bike finished and ready to ride at Snetterton.
